Special care instructions for “colour-sensitive textiles and colour combinations”
You will get maximum benefit from your new fitness and gym wear if you follow these care instructions:
- Wash separately for the first time immediately after use, in order to shed excess colour particles used with deep colours. Make sure you never leave your garment rolled up in a bundle for any length of time, especially if it is soaked in sweat. Do not use too much detergent and avoid any detergent with optical brighteners!
- Add a drop of vinegar to the last rinse cycle, in order to prevent the colours from fading over time. Please note: you can rinse a new garment in this way in cold water before wearing it for the first time. This increases colourfastness, for example where there is excess dye and strong sweat.
- Washing the garment in the washing machine (inadvisable for laminated qualities and dark/bright color combinations): Use a short, fine wash programme. Never leave damp sportswear items in the washing machine once the fine wash cycle has finished. Remove them from the washing machine immediately after the washing programme has ended. Do not leave them lying around wet, re-shape and hang up to dry.
- With multi-coloured sportswear, or sportswear with metallic or foil lamination, always rinse out thoroughly in clean water after use each time! Turn the garment inside out before doing so. Do not boil – hand washing at a maximum of 30°C is usually sufficient! Do not wring out – gently squeeze only! Protect from grease and sun cream!
Lamination is particularly sensitive to rubbing, sweat and chemicals used in detergents. Therefore we cannot guarantee durability or any change in appearance of foil lamination.
